This week’s Joy Global Athlete of the Week is Carbon High School Senior baseball player Dallyn Mower.
Mower gave the Dinos the victory in the first round of the 3a State tournament on Saturday, hitting a go-ahead solo home run in the top of the 14th inning. He went 3-5 in the game. Mower went 1-3 in the second round of the tournament on Saturday, in a game that the Dinos won 4-3.
Mower and the Dinos will take on the #1 seed from region 9, Pine View High School, in the quarterfinals of the State Tournament on Thursday.
