Carbon Softball gets no-hit by Juab

By Sun Advocate

The Carbon High School softball team lost its final regular season game against Juab High School on Tuesday, getting no-hit in the 4-0 loss.
Kinley Nelson pitched the complete seven innings for the Dinos, allowing four runs, three earned, on two strikeouts and no walks.
Both Kelsey Sorenson and Taylor Passarella walked in the game, but the Dinos were not able to make anything of the free baserunners.
Juab has one Region 12 game left in the season, but is likely to finish in first place in the region standings. It’s probable that Carbon will finish in a three-way tie for second place, which will result in a coin flip for second, third and fourth place to determine the seeding of the 3A State Tournament, which will begin on Saturday.
