The Carbon High School boys’ soccer team lost in the first round of the 2016 3A State Tournament on Thursday. The Dinos fell 4-2 to Desert Hills High School. After going into halftime trailing 1-0, the Dinos tied the game early in the second half when a Desert Hills player kicked the ball into his own goal. However, Desert Hills was able to score three more goals throughout the next 20 minutes of play. Junior Jamin Jensen scored for the Dinos before time expired, but the Dinos were not able to mount a comeback.
