Betty Elliott Hartley

WELLINGTON- Beloved mother and grandmother, Betty Elliott Hartley, returned to her Heavenly Father at the age of 92 on December 19, 2015 in Price, Utah.
Betty was born August 24, 1923 in Rolapp, Utah to Ray and Flossie Elliott. She was raised in Consumers, Utah until the mine closed. Her family then moved to Wellington, Utah where she met and married her husband Demoin Henry Hartley on November 7, 1938. Their marriage was solemnized in the Provo Temple on April 28, 1979.
Betty and Dee managed the Dry Ice Plant in Wellington for 42 years. In 1978, they retired to Spanish Fork, Utah where they lived for 18 years and then moved to Sandy, Utah to live with their daughter Patsy Lee Jones. Betty lived the last four years of her life at the Heirloom Inn in Price, Utah where she passed away.
Betty is survived by her children: Judy and David Flynn, Patsy and John Jones, Larry and Karol Hartley, Ron and Claudia Hartley, and Jim and Betty Jo Hartley; 30 grandchildren, 113 great-grandchildren and 24 great-great grandchildren and Tom Carter, former husband and close friend.
She was preceded in death by her husband Demoin Hartley, parents Ray and Flossie Elliott, two brothers and three sisters.
Her family wishes to thank the staff of Heirloom Inn and Rocky Mountain Hospice for their loving care. They would also like to extend their appreciation to Wheeler Mortuary and Rock Cove Ward.
