Snow shovels were finally put to use, and snowplows ranging from ten-wheelers to four-wheelers also worked to clear roads and highways, sidewalks and driveways.
The National Weather Service issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Castle Country and the Sanpete and Sevier Valleys. The advisory is in effect until 9 p.m. Tuesday. The forecast calls for accumulations of 2-5 inches with locally higher amounts.
The Utah Department of Transportation issued a Road Weather Alert advising of snowy road conditions for the entire I-15 corridor, as well as SR-6 from Castle Gate to Spanish Fork, and I-70. The alert remains in effect through 8 p.m. Tuesday.
