The Pinnacle Canyon Academy high school girls’ basketball team suffered another loss on Friday, this one coming from Wendover with a score of 56-30.
The Panthers struggled to make baskets and even take shots, scoring only three points in the first period, compared to Wendover’s 18. The Panthers only scored six more points in the second period and went into halftime trailing 35-9.
The third period saw only seven points from the Panthers and while they had their most successful scoring in the final period with 14 points, Wendover was already too far ahead for the Panthers to catch up. Senior Dellenie Paletta led the team with 14 of the team’s 30 points.
The Panthers, now 0-5 overall, continue to seek their first win of the season and will play at home again on Tuesday, facing Rockwell at 6 p.m.
