MILLER CREEK-Linda Lee Shamburger Hanley, age 75, passed away December 10, 2015 at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo.
Linda was born October 24, 1940 in Los Angeles, California to William Bert and Bea Wolfe Shamburger. She married Melvin Parish and they had four children prior to his passing in 1968. Later married Jim Hanley and they made their home in Miller Creek for over forty years.
Linda was a city girl who moved out west and made her home in Miller Creek. Together they raised a wonderful family while working alongside each other on their farm. It took her a little while to get adjusted to the area, but she was proud to call and make Miller Creek home. She lived a simple life and was blessed with a wonderful family and many great neighbors. Linda enjoyed farming, sewing, painting, caring for her animals and working on macramé projects. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her husband, Jim Hanley, Miller Creek; her four children, Debra Hathaway, American Fork, Kenny (Debra) Parish, Price, Lisa Summers, Hartford, Kentucky, Russell (Kim) Parish, Price; many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Melvin Parish; and her brother, Bill Shamburger.
Funeral Mass, Wednesday, December 16, 2015, 10:00 a.m., Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church. Family will receive friends at Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street) in Price Tuesday evening from 6:00-7:00 p.m. and Wednesday one hour prior to the Mass. Committal service, Cliffview Cemetery, Price.
