PRICE-Virginia “Gege” Anderson, 73, passed away December 12, 2015 in St. George, Utah.
She was born April 10, 1942 in Salt Lake City, Utah to William and Catherine Nutter Story. Married Thomas Brandt Anderson, August 22, 1966 in Salt Lake City; Tom preceded her in death on September 27, 2012.
Gege was raised in Salt Lake City and graduated from Judge Memorial Catholic High School and the University of Utah. She was involved in many civic organizations including Soroptimist International and the Castle County Travel Council. Gege along with her husband Tom, opened Price Travel in 1974 and ran it for nearly 40 years before retiring to St. George. Gege was an active member of the Catholic Church. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Gege is survived by her daughter, Kelly (Marty) Lane, St. George; son, Paul (Ann) Anderson, Price; daughter, Christina (Jason) Oliekan, Hurricane; seven grandchildren, Brandt, Aspynn, Sarrah, Jadon, Bailee, Kyson and Jack; and a sister, Katherine (Michael) Hodkin.
Preceded in death by her parents and husband, Tom.
Memorial Mass, Thursday, December 17, 2015, 11:00 a.m., Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church (200 North Carbon Ave) in Price. Family will receive friends at the church Thursday one hour prior to Mass. Luncheon to follow immediately at the Notre Dame Hope Center. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Notre Dame Hope Center, 210 North Carbon Ave., Price, Utah 84501.
