WELLINGTON-David Allen Blain, 55, passed away suddenly November 17, 2015 at home.
He was born December 3, 1959 in Salt Lake to Joe Allen and Alice Marie Kellogg Blain. Married JoAnne Hawks April 5, 1991; later sealed in the Seattle Washington Temple on October 11, 1997.
Dave grew up in Kearns and courageously received his GED at 35. He was a very talented craftsman who enjoyed fixing up his home. He loved gardening and his pumpkin won 2nd place in the Utah State Fair. His greatest passion was camping, fishing and his biggest dream was to own a Harley. He hated dill pickles and said they were an abomination on hamburgers.
Dave had many challenges in life and he overcame many obstacles that many wouldn’t be able to overcome. He was very nurturing, compassionate, generous and would give anyone the shirt off his back. Dave will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survived by his wife, JoAnne; children, David Allen Blain II and Nikkita Arianna Blain; grandkids, Syrus, Haylee, Alle; sisters, Penny Sue (Delmar), Katherine Marie, Mary Lynn (Chuck).
Preceded in death by his parents, sister, Wendy Kay; and a brother, Ronald Joe.
Funeral service, Friday, November 20, 2015, 10:00 a.m. at the Wellington Stake Center, (935 E Main) in Wellington. Family will receive friends at Mitchell Funeral Home Thursday evening from 6:00-7:00 p.m. and at the church Friday one hour prior to service. Internment, Wellington City Cemetery.
