CARBONVILLE- Heaven must have needed a hero. This Veteran’s Day, Wednesday, November 11, 2015 our loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend, Lee Jim Worley, age 63, passed away at his home surrounded by loved ones after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Jim was born in Price, Utah on August 3, 1952 to Lee and Diane Shiner Worley. Married the love of his life, Debbie Gibboney on September 10, 1982 in Price, Utah. Jim was a lifelong resident of Carbon County and a graduate of Carbon High School Class of 1970. After high school, Jim joined the Marine Corps and bravely served his country during the Vietnam War until he was honorably discharged in April of 1975. Jim was a tireless worker for PacifiCorp Energy Co. for 37 years, working his way up from a general laborer to a journeyman instrumentation and controls technician for the Hunter Power Plant. In his free time, Jim would often be found happily working in his yard and garden or listening to music and watching wildlife on his back patio. He was a proud husband and father who loved spending time with his family fishing, camping, riding ATV’s, playing golf, pool and darts.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Debbie Worley; children, Jamie Worley, Jared Worley, Jordon Worley, Danielle (Tony) Mastin; parents, Lee (Diane) Worley; sister, Joni Boren; mother-in-law, Marjorie Gibboney; seven grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Preceded in death by his grandparents, father-in-law, Ralph Gibboney; and brother-in-law, Robert Rudman.
Funeral service, Tuesday, November 17, 2015, 11:00 a.m., Wellington LDS Stake Center. Family will receive friends Monday evening at Mitchell Funeral Home from 6:00-7:00 p.m. and at the church Tuesday one hour prior to service. Interment, Wellington City Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories of Jim online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
