PRICE- George Lee Snyder, 67, our loving husband, brother, and “Uncle George” to many, passed away suddenly November 13, 2015 while working in his yard.
He was born June 18, 1948 in Price, Utah to Homer Keith and Katherine Kosmack Snyder. Married Terry Tallerico, September 11, 1971 in Price, Utah.
George honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He was a life member of Price Elks Lodge #1550 and a graduate of Carbon High School Class of 1967. He was a tireless worker who retired from the Carbon County School District at Carbon High in April of 2012. George made many friends at work and his years of labor were greatly appreciated. He was a proud supporter and former member of the United Mine Workers of America.
George loved deer hunting, fishing and most of all helping anyone in need. He was a self proclaimed jack of all trades who especially loved carpentry. “Uncle George” loved spending time with his nieces and nephews and his buddy “Rocky”. He was everyone’s favorite who will be sorely missed by all.
Survivors include his loving wife Terry Snyder, Price; niece/daughter, Sammie Fugate, Price; brother, Keith (Elaine) Snyder, Chandler, AZ; sister, Kathy (Santo) Lupo, Helper; mother-in-law, Kaye Tallerico, Price; sister-in-law, Toni Fugate, Price; brother-in-law, Sam Tallerico, III, Scottsdale, AZ; many loving nieces and nephews who he loved spoiling.
George was preceded in death by his daughter Jody Kaye Snyder; his parents; father-in-law, Sam Tallerico, Jr.; and brother-in-law, Vance T. Fugate.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 17, 2015, 10:00 a.m. at Mitchell Funeral Home in Price. Family will be at MItchell’s Tuesday one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Price City Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories of George at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
