The Pinnacle Canyon Academy JV volleyball team lost its home match against Navajo Mountain on Friday, while the Varsity team lost on the road against Green River on Saturday.
The JV Panthers lost to Navajo Mountain in four hard-fought sets. The Panthers lost the first two 26-24 and 25-23, respectively, before grabbing a 15-9 win in the third set. However, they could not keep the momentum going and lost the fourth and final set 15-9.
The Varsity Panthers lost to Green River in three matches. Again, the Panthers fought hard but lost 25-14, 25-19 and 25-22, respectively.
Pinnacle, whose Varsity team is now 1-7 overall and 0-3 in Region 12 play, will play next on Thursday at Monticello. JV will begin at 5 p.m. and Varsity will follow at 6:15 p.m. The Panthers’ next home matches will be on Oct. 10. The JV team will play at 12 p.m. with the Varsity team following at 1:15 p.m.
