The USU Eastern Golden Eagles volleyball team won its match against the College of Southern Nevada on Friday, defeating CSN in three sets for its first home win of the season.
The Golden Eagles won the sets 25-12, 25-15 and 25-16. For USUE, Paige Eyring had 14 kills, McKenzie Burrows had 24 assists and 16 digs and Jessica Sharr had six blocks.
“They didn’t play their best but they didn’t play horrible,” said head coach Brittney Lee, who is in her first season as coach. “The game was up and down, like a roller coaster.”
USUE went on to lose its next match on Saturday against Snow College three sets to two. USUE is now 10-9 overall. The Golden Eagles play their next match at home against Colorado Northwestern community College on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
