The Carbon High Baseball team started off last week with a loss against Murray and a win against Union.
The boys played at Murray Tuesday, March 17 2015. The game started off rough for Carbon, with Murray ending the first inning with seven runs. The following inning Carbon was unable to respond, allowing Murray to end with another three points. The rest of the game soon followed with Carbon and Murray unable to bring any runs, ending the game after the fifth inning.
The following Friday, Carbon played at Union with much better results. Carbon started out the top of the first with a run, followed by another run at the top of the second before Union could reply with a run of its own. The third inning was marked by neither team having any runs, which Carbon then responded with two at the top of the fourth and another four at the top of the fifth without another point from Union. Carbon ended the game with a total of eight against Union’s one.
