By Sun Advocate

BOULGER RESERVOIR: (December 05) The pond has iced over. Access is by snow machine only.
CARBON COUNTY COMMUNITY FISHING POND: (December 05) Carbon County Fairgrounds closes the pond during the winter.
CLEVELAND RESERVOIR: (December 12) The reservoir has a thin covering of ice and is unsafe for ice fishing.
ELECTRIC LAKE: (December 05) Randall Stilson reported that the lake was ice free on Dec. 1. Accessing the boat ramp on the north side is very difficult because of the snow, ice and mud.
FAIRVIEW LAKES: (December 05) Access is by snow machine only.
GIGLIOTTI POND: (December 05) The pond is frozen, but we don’t have any reports on ice thickness. Please use extreme caution on and around the ice.
GRASSY LAKE: (December 05) This lake is accessible by snow machine only.
HUNTINGTON NORTH RESERVOIR: (December 12) The reservoir remains totally open and you can launch boats. On Dec. 2, Jerry Jones reported that his party of three anglers caught only a single fish in 1.5 hours of trolling. State Park Manager Jonathan Hunt estimates ice-over sometime near Dec. 20.
HUNTINGTON RESERVOIR: (December 12) The reservoir has safe ice. Anglers have been fishing, but we haven’t received any reports.
JOES VALLEY RESERVOIR: (December 12) Calvin Black fished on Dec. 9 for 1.5 hours. In that time, several cutthroats chased the curly tail jig on his line, but nothing took the hook.
MILLSITE RESERVOIR & STATE PARK: (December 12) On Dec. 9, Brandon Behling reported good fishing with baits or lures. You can launch boats on the reservoir. The water is ice free, except for occasional shoreline freezing.
PETES HOLE: (December 05) Access will be by snow machine only.
POTTERS PONDS: (December 05) Both of the ponds have iced over. Access will be by snow machine only.
RIGHT FORK OF HUNTINGTON CREEK: (December 05) Last fall’s flash floods have washed most trout downstream. You can find some in the upper reaches of the creek, near the dam.
SCOFIELD RESERVOIR: (December 12) The ice is unstable and there are random pockets of open water and soft ice in the main channel, especially on the west. Anglers report better ice in the dam arm and northeast side, although ice in any location should be treated as dangerous. Please be cautious. Carry a rescue rope, ice picks, and a floatation device. There have been unconfirmed reports of anglers falling through the ice. In the past few weeks, anglers have reported good fishing for smaller rainbows and cutthroats. On Dec. 8, Rick Berg reported 6-7 inches of ice near the dam. He said the ice was unstable with a lot of cracking under his feet as he walked. Rick said he caught a trout every 20 minutes. Most were 14-inch cutthroats.
SOUP BOWL: (December 05) Access will be by snow machine only.
WILLOW LAKE: (December 12) A huge snow bank is blocking the road about 200 yards short of the lake. The lake is frozen, but we haven’t received any fishing reports.
WRIGLEY SPRINGS RESERVOIR: (December 12) The reservoir has eight inches of ice and access is clear.
