The Carbon High Wrestling team got their home schedule off to a good start with a 48-39 win over Uintah High on Thursday evening at the CHS Gymnasium.
Despite falling behind early, Carbon gained momentum by picking up several win, including many by pinfall.
CHS Head Coach Steve Woodhouse said before the start of the season that the team has aspirations of sending more wrestlers to the 3A State Tournament this season.
Carbon competed at a tournament in Panguitch over the weekend. They will host rival Emery High on Tuesday, Dec. 9 at 7 p.m.
