With a long and grueling season in front of them, the Carbon High Wrestling team got off to a good start with the Blue-White Duels on Monday evening at Carbon High School.
The Blue team was able to prevail 52-36 over the White squad, according to CHS Head Coach Steve Woodhouse.
Woodhouse said the team, which has 38 wrestlers participating, showed a lot of improvement in practices leading up to the duel.
“The matches were all very competitive and the kids are really competing at a high level,” said Woodhouse.
Carbon is hoping to build off the last two seasons by qualifying 12 wrestlers for the State Tournament.
The Dinos will open the season on the road when they travel to Union for a meet on Wednesday, Dec. 3. The team will host their first home meet the following day against Uintah.
