CHS X-Country team to host home meet on Sept. 24

The Carbon High Cross Country teams ran very well last week in Altamont which included teams such as Uintah, Duchesne, Tabiona and Altamont.
Both the boy’s and girl’s team from Carbon High took first place, according to CHS Head Coach Telisse Allen.
Emily Broadbear lead the girls with a first place finish with a time of 19:29 for the course.
Madi Black took second overall setting a new personal best time. Sarah Ohlwiler finished third overall, also setting a new personal best.
Zarah Rossi, who is still recovering from being ill, respectably finished fourth overall followed by Nikki Kulow and Katie Snow who both finished with new personal bests.
The boys were lead by Paul Bryner who finished second overall running a new personal best time of 17:49.
Trey Richardson placed third overall followed by Drew Jones who placed fourth. Kyle Quinton, Kaden Kranendonk and JW Broadbear rounded out boys varsity for the meet and helped with the low score of 25 to win the overall boys race.
The Carbon High boys and girls will host their only home meet of the season on Wednesday afternoon at Carbon Country Club Golf Course at 4 p.m.
