The Mont Harmon Middle School football team won their third game against Moab last weekend to improve their record to 3-0.
A strong running attack with Collin Lewis, Isaac Quintana, and Austin Woodhouse ran for a combined 170 with a long run of 48 yards the second play of the game.
Three different receivers caught touchdown passes Derick Hillam, Daniel Vega and Zack Gibson. Mont Harmon’s offensive lineman gave their offense plenty of time to throw passes and run.
The defense held Moab on four key fourth down attempts which allowed the Pirates to control the time of possession and the game.
The Pirates next play at Canyon View in Huntington on Thursday, September 18th, 2014 at 3:30 p.m.
For the Helper Rams, a rebuilding year has started a little slowly. Helper is 0-2 and was looking to get their first win of the season against San Rafael on Wednesday, Sept. 17.
Helper Coach Phil Howa said his team is very young this season with many new players still picking up things along the way. He hopes the experience from this season will carry into the future.
