Aggie Peirce

PRICE-Our loving mother, grandmother, sister and longtime friend, Agnes Karterakis Peirce, age 82, passed away April 25, 2014 at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo.
She was born Sept. 26, 1931 in Helper to James and Zambia Antonakis Karterakis.
Aggie was a longtime resident of Carbon County who was passionate about the outdoors. She enjoyed going on rides to the mountain and watching the wildlife. Aggie was a tireless worker, who enjoyed mining coal. She was a proud member of the United Mine Workers of America and a retired member of Hiawatha Local # 6363.
Aggie loved being with her family and she was extremely proud of their accomplishments. Her favorite hobbies included gardening and collecting antiques. She was an excellent cook who loved cooking for others. Her fun loving and energetic spirit touched the hearts of many and her friendship will be cherished forever.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at the Beehive Home in Price for wonderful care of Aggie.
She is survived by her daughter, Connie (Kirt) Marsing, Price; brother, Ernie Karterakis, Abilene, Texas; nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by parents, husbands, Lawrence Monfredi, Richard Pessetto and Ted Peirce; sons, Tony, Wayne and Michael; five sisters, Mary, Christina, Kleaunthy, Tessie and Betty; and brother, Tony.
Funeral service, Wednesday, April 30, 2014, 2 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street) in Price. Family will receive friends at Mitchell’s Wednesday from noon to 2 p.m. Interment, Price City Cemetery.
