The Carbon High Track and Field team is headed towards a well-deserved break. But before that, they added another strong performance at the Darrel Gardner Invite at Emery High on Tuesday afternoon.
CHS head coach Jimmy Jewkes said the girls team took second place overall. A few strong performances came from Sarah Ohlwiler who took first in the 100 meter hurdles and a second place finish in the girls high jump. Giovanna Chiara qualified for state in the high jump, becoming the fourth girl to do so this season, Jewkes said.
Garrett Marsing qualified for state in the 800 meter race.
Carbon High will take a break until April 26 when they travel to take part in the Eastern Utah Championships held at San Juan High.
