With a team still trying to find their rhythm with many new players on the squad, the Carbon High baseball team was searching for something positive to build upon.
They responded to the challenge by picking up a 10-3 home win over Union on Friday, March 28.
The Dinos offense, which has struggled to play consistently over the first three weeks of the season, scored in double digits for the second time this season.
Carbon pounded out nine hits including two doubles by Dillon Lowe and a triple by Cole Fossat. Kellen Trujillo and Caden Sherman each had doubles in the win.
With the victory, the Dinos ended a six-game losing streak and improved to 2-7 on the season.
The Dinos will look to carry the momentum from the win into this week as they prepare to open Region 12 play starting on Tuesday, April 1 when they travel to Richfield for a game starting at 3:30 p.m.
Two days later on April 3, the two teams will meet again as they Dinos play host to Richfield for a doubleheader starting at 3 p.m. at the Carbon High Baseball Field.
