After winning their region golf match at Emery’s Millsite golf course last week, Carbon’s youth golfers came home to compete in the first annual Roy Nikas/Price Insurance Junior Tournament.
The event at the Carbon Country Club was a major success, according to Carbon Head Pro Tom King.
“There was a rather small field but all players had a great time and great bacon cheeseburger at the snack bar,” quipped King.
The winning golfers in the 14 and under bracket are:
First – Kody Quarnberg with a score of 86.
Second – Robbie Etzel with a core of 96.
Third – Mike Jensen with a core of 120.
In the 15 and older bracket:
Corbin Black took first with a score of 76.
Justin Child took second with a score of 82.
And Geoff Vogel brought home third with a 84.
Additionally, last with there was a hole in one at the course. According to King, it was made Sean Burt on hole number six from the white tees at 145 yards and witnessed by Terry Gleave.
