1930 – 2008 PRICE – Reuben Kay Jolley, 78 of Price, passed away Aug. 7, 2008 in Salt Lake City.
He was born Jan. 5, 1930 in Angle. He married LaJean Wood; they later divorced. He married Barbara Jean Reeves in 1964. She preceded him in death. He married Maria Lisa Tonel on March 5, 1991.
Reuben spent his life in education. He served many years as a teacher and an administrator in elementary schools in Utah, Wyoming and New Mexico.
He was a brick mason and worked on many of the buildings at SUU.
He also worked on the Glen Canyon Dam.
He is survived by his wife, Maria of Price; children: Teresa (Larry) Banks of Santa Clara; Susan (Keith) Rollins of Paragonah; Curtis Jolley of Elizabeth Town, Colo.; Kathrine (David) Williams of Taft, Calif.; Reuben (Juanita) Jolley of Las Vegas, Nev.; Masiel Jolley of Sparks, Nev.; Elisha Brown of Price; 21 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, George (Bernice) Jolley, Corrine Applegate, Ted (Karma) Jolley, Patti (Lamun) Sorensen, Renee (Phil) Peterson, Jill Anderson, Mona (Gary) Romine, Eva (Ralph) Bassett, Shirley (John) Van Ausdale and Tamra (Steve) Kimball. Preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Don Applegate.
