PANGUITCH/PRICE – Carol Richens Wallace, 89, passed away quietly on Thursday, July 10, 2008, in Panguitch.
She was born on Dec. 4, 1918, in Tridell to Alfred and Adelia Duke Richens. She was the youngest of eight children.
Carol moved to Price when she was 2 and one-half years old, where she lived until ill health forced her to move in with her daughter.
On Dec. 9, 1937, she married David Wallace for time and all eternity in the Manti LDS Temple. They were blessed with two children, David Stuart (Sue) Wallace, Farr West; and Jeannie (Allen) Henrie, Panguitch. Her husband, David, passed away April 14, 1984.
She was a secretary for United States Steel in East Carbon until she retired.
She was an avid reader, a terrific cook, an excellent seamstress and pianist, and loved to watch game shows on television.
She is survived by her son and daughter, nine grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; a great-grandson; parents; brothers and sisters, Reid Richens, Grant Richens, Lola Oman, Kate Waterman, Vi Parkinson, Helen Jones and Melba Shiner.
