A sea of black leather and the roar of powerful engines took over Price the last two weekends as bikers hit the asphalt to raise money to stop child abuse, defeat diabetes and promote safety with a bike helmet giveaway.
June 21, members of the Southeast Chapter of Biker Against Child Abuse (BACA) hosted their annual poker run pulling in funds for the Children’s Justice Center, guardian ad litem and CASA. On the 26, they set up shop in the parking lot of Wal-Mart and, with assistance of deputies from the Emery County Sheriff’s Office, handed out more than 30 helmets.
Thunder in the Canyon on June 28 brought out riders to do their part to fight diabetes and enjoy the proverbial wind in the hair and all the sunshine.
