| A feud over the winners of the bordello bed race ended in a shootout Saturday with team members who found their mattress to serve more than one purpose. |
Old West historian Joel Frandsen captivated the crowd at the Bordello Ball as he spun tales about Butch Cassidy and other infamous character’s connections to Carbon County.
Proceeds from the ball were $1,000 to be added to the Western Railroad & Mining Museum expansion fund.
Bill Goobler, a member of the Cowboy Poets Association drew his own crowd on Main Street.
Heritage Days organizers estimated that more than 500 people came through Helper on Saturday for the various events.
