Helper oozes with culture

Conductor David Cho dedicated Barber’s “Adagio for Strings” to the victims of the Crandall mine disaster.

It’s not a common site to see someone in a tuxedo strolling down Main Street but Saturday the sidewalks were brimming with those in the black and white.
The Utah Symphony was in town and the members took the opportunity to soak up some local culture. Violinists, celloists and flautists wandered in and out of local galleries and sunned themselves in front of businesses.
The “Maynard & Mozart” event drew crowds to town to view the drawings of iconic Southwestern artist Maynard Dixon and attend one of two performances by the Utah Symphony at the Rio Theatre.
