Carbon County Sports News: Carbon County Recreation Details T-ball, Other Programs Available for Summer Fun

Summer is right around the corner and if you are looking for something fun for you and your kids to do Carbon County Recreation has something for just about everyone.
The league has programs ranging from T-Ball to backpacking and have been serving the community of Carbon County for over 20 years.
If it is sports programs that you are interested in CCR has a number of opportunities for you to take advantage of. T-ball, coach pitch, and girl’s softball registration deadlines are just around the corner.
These programs focus on teaching the children the fundamentals of the game without all of the pressure of competition and winning. The T-ball deadline is May 13 and girl’s softball is May 27.
If your child is new at sports or just wants to get better then the CCR sports camps are just for you. CCR offers two week sports camps for baseball, soccer, flag football and basketball. Kids will learn how to play the game, focus on team concepts and most of all have fun.
Lunch will be provided for most camps. Sports camps begin June 9.
Summer day camp is a great way to keep your child from getting bored this summer. Day camp has been one of CCR’s most successful programs. Day camp is an eight week program that runs Monday through Thursday from 9am to noon each day.
There is a different theme each week and a different project or craft planned each day. The children will also go on a field trip each week and visit places like the College of Eastern Utah Prehistoric Museum, Gateway Lanes Bowling Alley, the Price Theater, the Desert Wave Pool, the Helper Pool, and will take a stroll along the Helper Parkway.
Lunch and field trips are included in the cost of camp. Summer day camp begins June 2.
