James K. Neumeier
WELLINGTON – James K. Neumeier died Feb. 22, 2008 of complications of triple A surgery.
Jim was born Feb. 29, 1936 in Paris, Ark., to Bud and Katie Neumeier. Married Charlene Zubal in 1956.
They were blessed with five children, Jim (Janna), Paul (Kathy), Choel (Mike), Amy (Tad) and Sam; 12 fantastic grandchildren, Roy, Jaime, Quinn, Erin, Danny, Kasy, Nikki Samantha, Shelley, Shawn, Katelynn and Amanda; seven great-grandchildren, Brenden, Bubba, Felicity, Kami, Jasmine, Hailey and Baby Noyes. Jim has three brothers, Joe, Jerry and Larry; six sisters, Katie, Pat, Sue, Doris, Betty and Peggy; best buddy, Pete and Betty; Ma, Charlotte Zubal; brothers-in-law, Garry and Kathy, Freddy and Lynda and Bill and Sue.
Jim insisted on cremation and no services.

Jo Ann Blanchard
GREEN RIVER -Jo Ann Blanchard, age 72, passed away peacefully in her sleep Feb. 25, 2008 .
She was born April 29, 1935 in Monta Vista, Colo., to Ralph Clark and Laura Josephine Ginders McDonald. Married Francis “Frank” Blanchard June 17, 1973 in Phoenix, Ariz. He died Oct. 8, 1997.
“Granny” was a resident of Green River for 17 years, where she worked as an EMT with the Green River Ambulance Service.
She loved quilting, fishing, camping and bowling. Her greatest love was sharing time with her children and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Granny was an excellent cook and she enjoyed sharing her specialities with her family and friends.
She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survived by her children, Alan (Sue), Kaman Islands; Lois (Randy), Green River; Arlene (Johnny), Dover, Ark.; Linda (Bob), Grivette, Ark.; Pam (Chris), Vernal; Sharon (Kenneth) and Mike, both of Green River; and Paul (Lacey), Rupert, Idaho. Also survived by 39 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents; two grandsons; one great-granddaughter; and brother, Bill McDonald.
Funeral service Friday, Feb. 29, 11 a.m., Green River Bible Church. The family will receive friends at the church Friday one hour prior to service. Interment, Elgin Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price.
Darwin ‘Dobby’ Dal Guymon
PRICE – Born Dec. 7, 1946, Darwin “Dobby” Dal Guymon died Feb. 24, 2008.
Life is short love is sweet and death comes to us all.
When the time had come and the time was short, you did not check or stall.
You covered the ground, being a man to always cross the wall.
Across the wall and giving all, holding your family close at hand.
For to never shirk nor ever quit can be more precious than any life,
And for that you are a man.

Gary Duane Knudson
CASTLE DALE/ROY – Gary Duane Knudson was born on May 14, 1946 in Grafton, N.D., to Duane and Linda Knudson. Gary fought a 40-year battle with diabetes that ended on Feb. 21, 2008 in Roy.
Gary was a fighter and always looked at the brighter side of things.
He was a great example to those around him to face life and all its adversity with a smile on your face and with laughter in your heart.
Gary served a tour of duty in Vietnam in 1967 and was very proud to have served his country.
He married Mary No Gaskins and had three beautiful daughters. When that didn’t work out, he married Deborah Norris and had his only son, Daniel, whom he loved more than anyone else in the world. That union also ended in divorce and he stayed single for many years and dedicated himself to raising his son, Danny, in southern California.
In 1995, Gary moved to Castle Dale at the request of his son, Danny. He met and married Donna Cooper in 1998.
Gary’s diabetes did take its toll on his life, He was a double amputee, but managed to get where he needed to go thanks to his prosthetic legs. He spent the last seven and one-half years going to dialysis three days a week. His eyes didn’t function well and he had a near fatal heart attack six months prior to his death. Still, he never gave up even when most people would and he fought to the very end.
Gary is survived by his wife, Donna; his two daughters, Julia (Jason) Dougherty and Laura (David) Perez; his three stepchildren, Bert Cooper, Dick Cooper and Lisa Cooper; his grandchildren, Alex, Hannah, Mathew, Reina, Michael, Matthew and Miranda. He is also survived by his two sisters, Barbara (Willy) Kirkreit and Susan Shaw and their children, Christopher, Jennifer and Bryan. He was preceded in death by both parents; his first grandchild, Courtney; and his beloved children, Tina and Danny.
Services will be Thursday, Feb 28, at 2 p.m. at the Utah State Veterans Cemetery in Bluffdale.
Marie P. Mitchell
WENATCHEE, Wash. – Marie P. Mitchell, age 97, died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2008.
She was born February 6, 1911 in Cle Elum, Wash., to John and Regina Tokarsyck Lawrence.
She lived in Wenatchee, Wash., for 10 years.
She worked for the Catholic Church in Utah and Bremerton, Wash., and was a homemaker.
Survived by her son, Mike Lyons, Wenatchee, Wash.; sisters, Rose Lawrence, Cle Elum and Pauline Backs, Stanwood.
Graveside service, Friday, Feb. 29, 1 p.m., Price City Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home.
Richard Saccomano
BENICIA, Calif. – Richard E. “Dick” Saccomano, 78, of Benicia, Calif., passed away Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008, in a local hospital with family by his side.
He was born Feb. 2, 1930 in Green River and had lived in the Benicia-Vallejo area for almost 45 years.
Richard served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a decorated combat veteran of the Korean War. He was awarded the Purple Heart and Silver Star for gallantry in action.
He worked as a trial investigator with Farmers Insurance for more than 37 years, retiring in 1993.
After retiring, he was a proud officer in the volunteer force of the Benicia Police Department, serving the community for over 10 years.
Richard is survived by Carolyn, his wife of 45 years; son, Mark Saccomano of Oakland, Calif.; his daughter, Cheryl (David) Gareau of Danville, Calif.; his brother, Roger Saccomano of Vallejo, Calif.; and his grandchildren Lauren, Christopher and Michael Gareau. He was predeceased by his brother, Frank Saccomano.
Memorial Mass Thursday, Feb. 21, at St. Dominic’s Church, followed by inurnment in St. Dominic’s Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Passalacqua Funeral Chapel, Benicia, Calif.
Family prefers donations to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

FERRON – Cheryl Wooddell Ryder, age 51, formerly of Price, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2008.
Funeral services will be Friday, Feb. 29, at noon at the Millsite LDS Ward Chapel, 35 West 200 North in Ferron. A viewing will be Friday from 11 to 11:45 a.m. at the church prior to the services. Interment will be in the Ferron City Cemetery. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary.

HELPER – Karen JoAnn Jarvi passed away Friday, Feb. 22, 2008, after a long hard fight with cancer. She was born Feb.1, 1948 in Price.
