The Carbon County Chamber of Commerce Annual Installation and Awards Banquet held Jan. 24 was another success. Held at the Holiday Inn Banquet Room over 80 chamber members and general public were in attendance.
The chamber’s new board of directors were sworn into office. The executive board consists of 2008 President Nick Tatton, community director for Price City; President-Elect Erroll Holt VP/branch manager at Zions Bank; Secretary Viki Bowman, division assistant at CEU’s continuing education deptartment; Treasurer Barbie Deleeuw, director of operations at the Holiday Inn; Immediate Past President Elaine Wood, career agent for Farm Bureau Financial Services. The Board of Directors are Shane Baggs, state director of operations at Precis Communications; Wayne Clausing, store manager at Sutherland Lumber; Ethan Migliori, director of the CEU Small Business Development Center; Bobbi Ockey, district sales manager for Phone Directories; Richard Shaw, publisher at the Sun Advocate; Dallen Skelley, owner of Beehive Homes; Nicole Steele, employment specialist at the Department of Workforce Services; and Jerri Timothy, sales manager and public relations for KUSA/KASL Radio.

Doug Hunter from Utah Associated Municipal Power Systems was the events’ guest speaker. Mr. Hunter had some very interesting statistics regarding the power industry and the role that coal plays in producing it. Everyone was astounded by the information he provided.
Keith Mason was the master of ceremonies and he entertained the audience like only Keith can do.
