Rangeland monitoring workshop – is scheduled Feb. 20, Feb. 21 and Feb. 22 for livestock producers.
Registration deadline is Feb. 6. Fee is required.

Food handlers classes – Two-hour sessions are scheduled Feb. 12 and March 4 at 9 a.m., 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. at Southeastern Utah Health District in Price.
Classes will be taught Feb. 21 and March 27 at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the public health department in Castle Dale.

Lead testing – Department of environmental quality representatives will test toys, jewelry, pottery, clothing and furniture for lead contaminants Feb. 14 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the convention center at the county fairgrounds.
Limit is five items per person.

Immunization clinic hours – Clinics are scheduled at Southeastern Utah Health District Monday through Thursday from 3 to 4:30 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Carbon County Animal Shelter – AVID chip pet identification is available at the shelter. Hours are Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Carbon County Family Support and Children’s Justice Center – offers crisis care for families with children from infants to 11 years old. The crisis nursery is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Residents may use the nursery for respite, doctor and mental health appointments, court appearances, medical emergencies, family crisis, support meetings, divorce classes and to escape domestic violence. Parenting classes are scheduled Thursday at 1:30 p.m. For information, call the center at 637-0281.
Child care resource and referral – For information on upcoming child care provider orientation classes, local residents may contact Avis Burrows at 636-2355. Applications for startup grants are available at the office at CEU.
Price library – Hours are Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6:45 p.m., Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. and closed Sunday. Story time is scheduled Monday at 11 a.m. for toddlers, Tuesday and Wednesday at 5 p.m. and Thursday at 1 p.m. The library will host a weekly group for girls 6 to 12 years of age starting Feb. 6 at 3:30 p.m. English as a second language classes are Monday and Thursday at 6 p.m. Basic literacy classes are scheduled as needed. Recovery classes – are scheduled Monday to Friday at the Golden Rule Mission in Helper from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Classes include relapse prevention, Big Book, 12 steps, traditions, spirituality and life skills.
Price Recovery group – meets Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the CEU computer building.
Reach to Recovery – The American Cancer Society program matches a diagnosed breast cancer patient with a trained survivor who can answer questions and address concerns.

The first Wednesday is designated as a caregiver support night. The third Wednesday is family activity night.
Scooter & Wheelchair Users ADA support group – meets the second Tuesday of the month at 1 p.m. at the Carbon County Housing Authority.

Look Good, Feel Better – The American Cancer Society program helps women address the appearance related side effects of treatment.
The members of the group meet the first Monday of the month at 6 p.m. at Castleview Hospital.

Cancer resource center – Volunteers are needed to staff the American Cancer Society information center at Castleview Hospital.
Hours are flexible and training will be provided free of charge to local volunteers.

Shrove Tuesday pancake supper – will be served Feb. 5 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Ascension St. Matthew’s, 522 N. Homestead Boulevard, Price. Single and family donations accepted.
Lenten lunches – will be served from noon until 12:30 p.m. at Price United Methodist Church for five weeks starting on Ash Wednesday.
