| Carbon High’s All-State and All Region athletes. |
A multitude of players who participated in fall sports for Carbon High received recognition at the state and region level for their performances this fall. The Carbon High golf team, football team and the volleyball team all had players named to either All-State or All-Region teams.
For the Football squad Andrew Jackson was named All-state honorable-mention for running back and line backer he was named to the All-region first team in those positions as well. Lance Deeter also made honorable mention All-State offensive line center and line backer. Deeter was named to All-Region second team in his positions.
Also named to the All-Region first team were Davey Cox, running back and defensive end; Tysen Stevens-tight end and defensive end. All-Region second team included: Brandon Branch, quarterback; Joey Keller, quarterback and safety; Tyler Bean, tight end and linebacker; Mike Harmond, offensive line and defensive line; Jordan Tatton-wide receiver, corner back, Jake Knighton, wide receiver and line backer.
Golf also had its share named to the state and region teams. Named to first team All State was Shane Burke. Burke also made first team All-Region. Second team All-State was Jason Child. He was named to first team All-Region as well. Corbin Black was on the All-State honorable mention and made second team All-Region.
Other Carbon golfers on the first team All-region include; Jordan Pinedo, Geoff Vogel and Ryan Nelson. Justin Child was named to second team all-region and Dylan Olsen made All-region honorable mention.
The volleyball team had four members recognized at the All-state level. Megan Garvin and Julia Potts were named to the All-state first team. Joy Malone made All-state third team and Britni Greenwood made All-state Honorable mention.
Despite a call to Region Eight, at press time, region officials were unable to furnish any information regarding any All-Region volleyball team recognitions.
