Guido Salzetti
SPRING GLEN – Our loving father, grandfather, brother and friend, Guido S. Salzetti, age 90, passed away Dec. 17, 2007 at his home.
He was born July 7, 1917 in Sunnyside to Serafino and Genoveffa Ciccone Salzetti. Married Rose Markosek Oct. 10, 1938; she died Jan. 23, 1973. Married Irene Norton Jan. 7, 1982; she died April 23, 2004.
Guido was a member of the Price Elks Lodge 1550 for 46 years.
He worked in various coal mines in the area and was a retired member of the UMWA for 70 years.
He was a member of the SNPJ Lodge 689.
Guido enjoyed music, trips to scofield to go fishing, hunting, traveling, but most of all were his grandkids and family.
He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survived by his daughters, Gaylene (Geno) Ori, Phoenix, Ariz.; and Mary (Mike) Porter, East Carbon; one sister and two brothers, Ida Ewell, Edward (Paula) Salzetti and Raymond (Lois) Salzetti; two sisters-in-law, Fawn Salzett and Helen Markosek; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.Preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Armando, Fred and Albert; sisters, Sestina and Marge.
Funeral Mass will be Friday, Dec. 21, 11 a.m., Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church.
Vigil Service, Thursday evening, 7:00 p.m. at the church. Family will be at the church Thursday and Friday one hour prior to service. Committal, Price City Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Notre Dame building fund.
Robert Kosec
SPRING GLEN – Robert John Kosec, 71 of Midwest City, Okla., died Nov. 30, 2007 in Midwest City, Okla.
He was born June 11, 1936 in Spring Glen to John and Anne Matekovick Kosec. Married Mary Lee Powell; she died Sept. 30, 2007.
Retired from the U.S. Air Force.
Member of the Masonic Lodge.
Survived by daughter, Margaret Anne Kosec, Clarksville, Tenn.; son, John Markham (Jeanette) Kosec, Midwest City, Okla.; brother, Ronald (Sandra) Kosec, Port Townsend, Wash.; and two grandsons.
Services were at Barnes and Johnson Funeral Home, Midwest City, Okla.
