Food bank requests local support for needy families this Thanksgiving
While the Carbon County Food Bank was able to collect 2,723 lbs. of food from local residents during the Trick or Treat for Food campaign on Halloween, they are still lacking a number of items for their annual Thanksgiving boxes.
The managers of the food banks say that they need stuffing, cans of cranberry, canned pineapple, canned pumpkin, fruit cocktail, cans of yams and any frozen turkeys people are willing to donate.
While the Utah Food Bank will send some turkeys down just before Thanksgiving, there will not be enough to go around if more are not donated.
