Tom Fitch Not Quite Satisfied with Decision

The following article was originally published in a Thursday edition of the Eastern Utah Advocate from November 1907. This is a reprint of that article.

With the return of a verdict in the case of J. Tom Fitch against the Utah Irrigation and Power company last Thursday afternoon, Judge Ferdinand Erickson concluded the September Term of district court for Carbon county and left in the evening for his home at Mt. Pleasant.
Fitch was given judgment for $175 for the land and $100 damages to the remainder of the property, not including something like two dollars interest from the time suit was brought.
Being given sixty days in which to file a motion for a new trial, Fitch last Monday renewed his case through his attorneys.

County Commissioner James A. Harrison has been quarantined for some time at his Helper home by scarlet fever in his family. He has been somewhat indisposed also for several days by a threatened attack of pneumonia.
