Carbon volleyball team took a break from region action to travel to Cedar City to sharpen their skills on a struggling Canyon View squad. The Dinos made quick work of the match, winning 25-10, 25-10, 25-11.
Dominating all three matches, Carbon used their powerful core of players to make quick work of the Falcons. Megan Garvin and Britni Greenwood combined for 53 team attacks. Garvin had 12 kills and Greenwood had eight. Whitney Oliver had seven service aces. Julia Potts had 31 set assists. Defensively Brittany Gustas had 12 defensive digs and Erika Potts added 11.
Region play resumes at home this Tuesday against Delta. Deltas region record is 1-3, but is always a threat. Game time is 6:30 at the Carbon High gym. Thursday’s game will be against second place North Sanpete and will be the toughest match Carbon will face before the playoffs. That game will be on the road.
