VA Launches Nationwide Campaign to Contact Former U.S. Prisoners Of War, Family Members

By Sun Advocate

The United States Department of Veterans Affairs has launched a nationwide campaign to track down and inform former prisoners of war about expanded federal benefits.
The department’s outreach program focuses on locating former POWs and advising the veterans, surviving spouses and family members regarding improved federal benefits, including health care, disability compensation and VA services.
Former POWs, surviving spouses and family members residing in the Carbon County area are encouraged to contact VA employment representative Steve Wilkinson at the workforce services office in Price at 636-2343.
The representative will answer questions about the benefits and assist with applications, employment and veterans issues.
