Guy Adams
PRICE- Our loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Guy Adams, age 82, passed away peacefully Sept. 25, 2007 at his home in Price.
He was born July 1, 1925 in Columbia to Gust and Philomena Curcione Adams. Married Virginia Telaroli on Sept. 26, 1953 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Helper.
Guy joined the U.S. Marines in 1942 and honorably served his country during WWII. He received the Purple Heart for his injuries sustained in battle.
He was a member of the Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church and a lifelong resident of Carbon County.
Guy was an outstanding police officer and worked in the county for 34 years. He also drove school bus parttime for 30 years.
He was an amazing athlete and was quite accomplished in many sports.
He continued his passion for physical fitness throughout his life by participating in the Utah Summer Olympic games in cycling and took home numerous medals, one gold, one silver and three bronze.
Guy was a member of the Marine Corps League, Price American Legion Post 3 and the VFW Miners Post 2379.
He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Survived by his wife, Virginia Adams, Price; children, Mike (Rose) Adams, Helper; Greg Adams, Price; Guy (Jacilyn) Adams, Spring Glen; sisters, Ann and Martha Adams; three grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents; and son Tony Adams.
Funeral Mass Saturday, Sept. 9, 10 a.m., Notre Dame Catholic Church. Vigil service Friday evening, 7 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home. Family will be at Mitchell’s Friday and Saturday one hour prior to service. Interment, Price City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, family suggest donations to Notre Dame Catholic Church or Rocky Mountain Hospice.
June Tidwell
CASTLE DALE – Our loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, June Marie Tidwell, age 50, passed away Sept. 23, 2007 in Provo.
She was born June 17, 1957 in Castle Dale to Dean A. and LeNile May Timothy Jensen. Married Dick Tidwell, later divorced.
June loved and lived for her children.
She enjoyed the outdoors, camping, and fishing.
She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
We love you, June Bug.
Survived by her loving children, Travis Jensen, Castle Dale; Mistie (Tyler) Swearingen, Orem; Dustin, Cory, Casey, Chad Tidwell, all of Price; six grandchildren, Malisha, McKenzie, Patience, Christian, Melissa, Tasha; brothers and sisters, Sally Jensen, Dennis (Karen) Jensen, Irene Draney, Gary (Tammy) Jensen, Kenneth (Ute) Jensen, Janet (Russ) Forsythe, Steven and Vance Jensen; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Preceded in death by her parents; nephews, JR Draney, Anthony Jensen, Evan Palmer and Levi Blye Johnson.

Kelly C. Christensen
HELPER – Kelly C. Christensen, age 55 of Helper, passed away peacefully on Sept. 19, 2007 after a short illness.
Kelly was born April 2, 1952 to Charolette and Cox Christensen in Price.
He attended school in Carbon County, CEU and the University of Utah.
Kelly lived in many places in California, Colorado and Utah, but his heart was always in Helper, where he finally returned to live until his passing. He was one of Helper’s biggest fans and supporters.
Kelly was a very talented man, an excellent horseman, artist and chef. He was very knowledgeable about antiques.
Kelly was a born again member of the New Life Ministries and found his place in the Amen and Shakers section on widows row. It was here, under the watchful eye of the widows, that Kelly learned to worship the Lord. His association with his church and its congregation brought him much joy and comfort.
Kelly took loving care of his mother for many years, he was a good son and a great brother.
Kelly is survived by mother, Charolette P. Karr, Price; brother, Max Christensen and wife, Lori, Grand Junction, Colo.; six nieces and eight great-nieces and nephews. Also survived by loving companions, his dogs, Bella and Chewy. Preceded in death by father and grandparents.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be conducted at the New Life Ministries in Spring Glen at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29.

Vida Wall
CLEVELAND – Vida Lurena Timothy Wall, passed away peacefully Sept. 15, 2007 in Price.
She was born March 30, 1916 in Cleveland to David Timothy and Alice Lurena Johnson Timothy.
Vida attended schools in Elmo, Cleveland and Huntington. She married Clarence Overland Wall on Dec. 21, 1935. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple on Feb. 19, 1966.
Vida was raised in Cleveland and lived there until 1960, when the family moved to Hiawatha.
She and Clarence became involved with a square dancing group, which brought them much joy and allowed her to travel to many places around the world.
Vida was a great sports fan. Her favorite teams were BYU football and the Utah Jazz.
She hunted deer and rode a horse most of her life.
She was dearly loved by all her grandchildren who looked forward to celebrating Christmas at her home.
She was known for her delicious homemade bread and chocolate chip cookies, her hospitality, and her Sunday dinners.
She was a fabulous cook and could easily feed a crowd with little notice.
Vida is survived by children, Lois (Keven) Jensen, Cleveland; James (Joan) Wall Mapleton; Lynn (Carol) Wall, Bountiful; David (Arbra) Wall, Mountain Green; and Wilma (Andy) Barnett, Price.
She often remarked that she couldn’t have chosen better spouses for her children, if she’d hand picked them herself.
Vida is the proud matriarch of 27 grandchildren, 89 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; all brothers and sisters; and her husband, Clarence, who she loved dearly.
The family would like to thank the medical staff at Castleview Hospital and the Parkdale Care Center.
Funeral services were Thursday, Sept. 20, at the Cleveland LDS Chapel. Interment followed in the Cleveland City Cemetery under the direction of Fausett Mortuary.
William Kevin Park
SUNNYSIDE – Kevin Park, age 44, passed away peacefully on Sept. 21, 2007 at his home in Sunnyside after a long battle with heart disease.
Kevin was born March 13, 1963 to William Leroy and Glenna Marie Park. He married Jean Mae Blackburn on July 22, 1983 in Salt Lake City.
He was a devoted husband, father, brother and son.
He enjoyed working with his hands. He was a carpenter for many years and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by wife, Jean Park; son, Douglas Park; daughter, Malisa Park of Sunnyside; son, Jason Park of Wellington; sister, Tammy Baker of Salt Lake; sister, Susan Edgemann, Texas; sister, Tonya (Steven) Wilkerson, East Carbon; uncle, Dennis (Gloria) Rowley, Rangely, Colo.; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both parents; brother, Douglas Park; grandparents; aunts and uncles.
