The 2007 Wellington Pioneer Days celebration is slated July 20 and July 21.
In conjunction with the city’s annual event, the deadline for youth to register to compete in the Miss Wellington Pioneer Pageant is June 22.
According to the committee, the pageant is divided into four age groups.
Miss Pioneer Days will be selected from participants ages 15 to 17 years old.
The junior teen miss title will be awarded to the top candidate in the 11- to 14-year-old age group.
Contestants ages 8 to 10 years old will compete for the junior miss honors.
Little miss will be named from pageant candidates entered in the 5- to 7-year-old category.
Registration forms are available at Wellington City Hall.
The non-refundable registration fees will cover the pageant costs, trophies and T-shirts for participants.

Along with announcing the pageant’s registration deadline, the committee encourages local residents to volunteer to assist with the upcoming celebration.

In conclusion, the committee indicated that vendor booth applications are available at the city hall. Booth fees are required.
