The 3-A Region 8 softball All-Region team has been announced. The MVP is Senior Brie Dimond from Juan Diego Catholic High School. Dimond, a left-handed pitcher and first baseman, has a batting average of .371. Juan Diego finished as the first place team in Region 8 with a perfect 12-0 record. Also making the first team from Juan Diego are Junior, pitcher/infielder Taylor Anderson, Senior shortstop Stephanie Barman, and Junior catcher, Katie Horrocks.
North Sanpete High School placed second in Region 8 with a 9-3 record. First team All-Region honors for North Sanpete go to Senior pitcher/outfielder Laney Jacobson, Senior third baseman Chelsea Bird, and Junior outfielder Tori Cox.
Making the first team from Delta High School are Junior outfielder McKenzie Peterson and Senior pitcher Shanel Bliss. Senior infielder Brandee Wilson from Emery High School and Junior catcher Whitney Williams from Carbon also received first team All-Region honors:
The Coach of the Year award was given to Kristen Chase of Delta High School.
