Consider this: Albert Einstein was quoted as once stated: “Peace can not be kept by force; it can only be kept by understanding.
With all the conflicts and wars occurring around the world, how can we find peace? We worry about the war abroad, and are all affected in one way or another. But what of our own community? If we keep in mind that peace can only be kept by understanding, how then can we take inventory of our own lives and see what can be done to be more understanding.
Let’s consider our children. They are the future. Do we take the time to listen to them and truly understand what they are trying to communicate with us in the manner of “Peace?” A soft word, an acknowledgement of a job well done, an expression of appreciation for a spouse’s extra effort will create that peace in our homes. And what if we took that concept to our neighbors and our community.
It becomes very clear that a kind, understanding heart will, like a mirror, return back to us that same kindness. Then community by community, state by state, and nation by nation, our understanding as opposed to force, will bring peace.
Just consider this.
