Coach Pinedo rallies his team during an earlier game this season.

In a non-region game, the Lady Dinos traveled down to South Sevier to play before the final region games of the season. It was South Sevier who prevailed 12-7 in a see-saw affair that saw three balls sail over the fence.
It was the Dinos who jumped out on top with a 4 run first inning. The Rams answered back with 2 in the first and two in the second to tie it up. The Dinos stuck on up in the third to take the lead again.
Both pitchers held the teams scoreless in the fourth before South Sevier racked up three in the fifth to take a two run lead. The Dinos tied it up in the sixth before the Rams came up to bat and ran away with the game for good with five runs. That seemed to take the wind out of Carbon who had stayed in the game until then. They were unable to score in the seventh and lost the hard fought battle. South Sevier had three batters send one over the fence for two run homers in the effort.
Whitney Oliver had 3 RBIs and a triple to lead the Carbon offense. “It was a crazy game'” commented Coach Pinedo, “We just still committed some errors that let them have the chances to score. We have to find a way to stop doing that if we want to win.”
The Dinos now get to finish up their regular season at home with a pair this Thursday against North Sanpete. They will get one more chance against Delta on May 3rd in a home game. Delta, Emery and the Dinos are tied at 2-7. Emery and Delta have a pair against each other and it is still any one’s chance for the final two play off spots. Pinedo summed it up saying, “We are not going to good into these games playing the numbers game. We need to play one game at a time and try to win each of them.”
