The Energy Edition in the Sun Advocate was a great addition to the paper.
Your April 27 Energy supplement article was a complete history of the coal industry and the coal mine workers and companies. It was a compliment to every person who contributed to the Sun Advocate and pictures and articles that were in the story. It was true and accurate.
The articles were good information for the younger citizens of the counties and of the state and of the older citizens who were related to the coal miners of that generation.
I recall the year of 1929 and 1930. Some Italian coal miners had to set up tents in our back yards in Helper to live in because they had to leave their homes in the Spring Canyon coal mine areas. They were on strike and supported the UMWA union.
