Fuzzy Nance rides his bike near Main Street last summer. Nance and wife, Dondra, have long been considered important trail builders for people riding off-road bicycles in the Carbon County area. Last week Salt Lake City Weekly named the Price Area Singletrack Society (PASS) and the Nances as the best in the state. Over the past few years they, along with others in the club, have miles of single track trails north of Price, particularly around the Wood Hill area. The International Mountain Biking Association Subaru trail crew will be in Price April 20 to 22 to design and build up to 20 additional miles of track in the same area. PASS has been trying to make a mountain-biking destination. The club has posted maps of the so-called Bookcliffs Trail System on the Utah Mountain Biking and Trail Finder at http://groups.msn.com/PriceAreaSingletrackSociety/.
