The fifth annual talent show sponsored by the Castleview Hospitial’s Relay for Life benefit was held on Valentines Day at the Price Civic auditorium.
This wonderful program, the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life benefit had a large attendance even with the admission charge.
Many in the community apparently felt that this was a worth while program with fine entertainment for a worthy cause.
All of the production personnel from the producer to the publicity staff are employees from the hospital who gladly gave of their own time and effort to make this program a success.
Even some of the entertainment was hospital personnel. There were dancers, singers, guitar performances (several solo and group), drums and percussion.
An outstanding guitar/vocal by our well known Charley Simmons and a perfect rendition of the well know “Meditation” from composer Massenet. Dr. Nielsen’s sensitive playing on this demanding work was accompanied by an accomplished pianist.
All of the participants obviously enjoyed their part in this effort to help fund a very worth while program. This is an annual effort and we all look forward to each years benefit performance.
