Saturday afternoon, the CEU women’s basketball team played some solid ball to beat the SUU All-start team 55-81.
The team started strong and was up by 10 before the break. They never looked back.
Bresha Smith was the leading scorer for CEU. Maquette Potts with 10 and Elisha Harris with 11 were the other two players for the Eagles who scored in double figures. Staci Little again showed her strength on the boards with 16 rebounds on the afternoon.
The team will begin conference play at home this weekend against Colorado Northwestern. CEU has traditionally done well against CNW and this team should do the same. Game time is 5:30 at the BDAC in Price.
