Tom Perrero
HELPER – Our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Tom Perrero Sr., passed away Nov. 22, 2006, at the age of 93.
He was born June 22, 1913 in Kenilworth to Martin and Katie Giacoletto Perrero. He married Rose Scavo on Feb. 16, 1936 in Helper and they shared 70 years of true companionship.
Tom was the coal preparation engineer at Independent Coal and Coke for many years, and retired from Kaiser Steel in 1978.
Tom was a faithful member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church where he was active in the Knights of Columbus, having been the grand knight, state deputy, and a charter member and commander of the fourth degree. He was a member of Stella D’America lodge and B.P.O.E.
Tom played softball with the Castle Gate and Knights of Columbus leagues. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and dancing the polka. His greatest love was his family.
He is survived by wife, Rose Perrero, Helper; children, Tom (Carole) Perrero, Kanab; Bernadette (Tom) Paluso, Helper; grandchildren, Monica (Wayne) Byers, Salt Lake City; Tiffany (Lin) Hsu, Capitola, Calif.; and Kim (Frank) Compagni and Niki (Kyle) Keller, both of Salt Lake City; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Carnesecca, Mapleton; sisters-in-law, Elsie Perrero, Salt Lake City; Dorothy Perrero, Mapleton; and Mary Scavo, Helper.
Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Pete and Martin Jr.
Mass of the Resurrection, Saturday, Nov. 25 10 a.m., St. Anthony Catholic Church. Vigil service, Friday 7 p.m. at the church in Helper. Family will greet friends at the church Friday and Saturday one hour prior to services. Committal service, Mountain View Cemetery, Helper, under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to St. Anthony Catholic Church or the American Heart Association.
Anne Bonacci
HELPER – Our loving mother, grandmother and friend, Anne Montoro Bonacci, age 91, died Nov. 24, 2006 in Price.
She was born Aug. 9, 1915 in Hiawatha to James and Rose Bonacci Montoro. Married Victor Ralph Bonacci on Dec. 4, 1940 in Helper. He died in 1954.
Anne was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. Longtime resident of Helper. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Survived by daughter, Barbara (John) Flynn, Coombs, British Columbia; four grandchildren, Jason (Amanda) Gerberg, Daniel Gerberg, Angela Flynn, Shawna Flynn; sister, Laura Rogers.
Funeral Mass, Friday, Dec. 1, 10:30 a.m., St. Anthony Catholic Church. Vigil service, Friday, Dec. 1, 10:00 a.m. at the church. Family will be at the church one hour prior to services. Committal service, Mountain View Cemetery, Helper, under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home.

Editha Mower
HELPER/GRANTS PASS, Ore. – Former Utah resident Editha “Teddy” Floriene Mower, 86, of Grants Pass, Ore., died Nov. 26, 2006.
She was born June 4, 1920 in Thistle.
She graduated from Carbon High School and later received her R.N. from Holy Cross School of Nursing. She devoted 40 years of service to the nursing profession in Utah, where she lived until two and one-half years ago when she moved to Grants Pass to live with her son and daughter-in-law.
Editha enjoyed attending her church. She also enjoyed planting a summer flower garden as well as collecting a variety of knickknacks, which she proudly displayed in her home.
Her hobbies included reading, golfing, playing bridge, Tai Chi and line dancing. She especially loved sports of any kind.
Survived by sons, Phillip Greer (Ruby) of Grants Pass, Ore.; Chris Joe Sisson of Flora Vista, N.M.; and daughter, Jessie Albrecht (Bill) of Cour d’ Alene, Idaho; grandchildren, Summer Greer of San Francisco, Calif.; and Brent Albrecht of Cour d’ Alene, Idaho.
She requested that her ashes be scattered in the surrounding hills of her childhood home in Helper.
