The 2006-07 diving season has begun for high schoolers across the state. And for the Carbon High team it will be another interesting year.
Going to their first meet the Carbon team traveled to Bear River High in Tremonton this past week.
Because it was the first meet of the year, many of the divers from all the competing schools were a bit tentative and it showed.
In Carbon’s case, many on the team are learning new dives and are working out the bugs in their routines as they compete.
A bright spot on the squad saw Travis Hobbs placed second overall, just two points out of first.
The Dinos took third as a team.
The squad will visit Park City on Nov. 9 for their next challenge.
Before then there will be a lot of practicing at the Price pool to fine tune the dives of the team.
