The 2006 general election is here. Early voting will begin at the Carbon County Courthouse in the County Clerks Office Oct. 24 and run through Nov. 3. Voters will have access to the new electronic voting machines from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For those who can’t or don’t want to go to the polling place on election day they can vote by absentee ballot. However, they must apply to vote in this fashion. After receiving their application the county clerk will send them a ballot. Absentee voters need to be sure to return it by the correct date. The deadline for early voting and submitting of an absentee ballot is Nov. 3.
